Quick & Easy Healthy Meals | Food

This post is sponsored by Weight Watchers, but all thoughts and opinions including meal suggestions are my own.

It's no secret that when it comes to cooking I'm a bit of a lazy girl. It's not that I can't cook, but I really don't enjoy the cleaning up that comes with it, and I don't like recipes with lots of fussing around. Thankfully I married a man who is not only a good cook, but doesn't mind being in the kitchen preparing something new.

So I've been a bit spoiled for a long time, with a Mum, mother-in-law and husband to do all of my cooking. But, there are still times when I have to venture in to the kitchen to do more than cut up some fruit for the girls or cook my famous three ingredient pancakes, or Low Calorie Mug Brownie.

It's on those occasions that I always look for quick, easy meals that will feed me for the least amount of effort (and cleaning up!). I've been on the look-out for quick dinners to add to my repertoire, in an effort to make things easier on myself and take away one of the pressures I've been feeling in regards to my weight. My most favourite of my easy meals is Chicken Salad. And yes, it is as easy as it sounds.

All you need is a BBQ chook and a bag of premixed salad from the supermarket and you're good to go! The best thing about this dinner is that there is always lots of left-over chicken to have on sandwiches the next day and it takes next to no time at all to prepare. Exactly my kind of healthy dinner!

I wrote about my favourite quick healthy meals not long ago, and you can find all of my favourites and go-tos in this post here. A few of them are super freezer-friendly and it's really nice to know we have stuff sitting in the freezer ready to go when I don't want to cook or do anything else. Which is why, when I was asked to try out the re-vamped range of Weight Watchers frozen meals I couldn't say no. Meals that I can just pull out of the freezer, whack in the microwave and sit down to eat 5-10 minutes later? Yes please!

As part of my promise to take it easier on myself in regards to my health and eating, I'm not worrying so much about the scales, but more about how I'm feeling. By having stuff all ready to go for me, it's really helped me save time preparing meals. The Weight Watchers frozen meals have certainly helped with that!

With over 40 years of support, expertise and results, Weight Watchers frozen meals are created with culinary experts and approved by nutritionists. With a menu of choice to choose from (Gourmet, Classic and Light), there is a variety of modern, appetising recipes that have the perfect combination of wholesome and nutritious ingredients, flavour and balance with vegetables, meats and grains all snap frozen to lock in taste.

I've been told that the new look range of healthy frozen meals is a great complement to their 'Your Way Program' program, making it easier than ever to have quick, easy meals on hand at all times. I've tried a few of the Weight Watchers frozen meals now and I can say they definitely make it easy to have quick meals ready to go in your freezer on the days that you just can't be bothered cooking.

Having quick, easy meals doesn't have to be hard, and I'm so thankful that I live in an age where I am spoilt for choice when it comes to having quick, easy meals.

Because let's face it, when you've spent the day with whinging kids and your husband has just left for night shift, the last thing you wanna be doing is standing in the kitchen cooking or worrying about making a healthy dinner for yourself!
