5 of my favourite Instagram accounts {part one} | Social Media

I spend a lot of time on Instagram. It is (for obvious reasons) my favourite social media platform and I could spend hours upon hours scrolling through feed after feed. I love the pretty pictures, the story, the inspiration and the real people behind the images.

I thought today I'd share with you some of my favourite accounts to follow, knowing full well that there is no way I can do my favourite accounts justice in just one post, there are far too many. So this is part one, and just a very small selection of my favourite accounts to follow on Instagram...

I first heard of Krystle Wright in 2015 when I found her work profiled in an issue of Capture Mag. Since then I've been obsessed with following her adventures around the world via Instagram. Aside form the amazing imagery I love reading her many thoughts on social media and what it means to be an artist, and more specifically a photographer, in this modern digital age.

If you haven't seen Celeste parody some of the more ridiculous & bizarre celebrity Instagram posts ever seen then you have you even Instagrammed? I'm pretty sure you're all following her by now but if not, you need to fix that quick smart!

Ace Fanning - Photographer & Creative

Ace Fanning is a photographer I discovered at the end of last year and he's quickly become a favourite. Not only is he a talented photographer, but he is one of the most honest & raw people I follow on any social media platform. He's incredibly giving of his time & knowledge and he's just generally a really funny guy too. Even if you're not in to photography, you should follow him for the amazing things he comes out with in his captions...

Transparency in everything I do... that is what I aim to be. And there are times that being transparent is not easy, like right now. Just like with photography, we use light to bring your attention to what we want you to see and hope the shadows conceal the parts we don't want you to see-- we do that in life. I shared a story yesterday and shined a light on the part where I was wronged-- its easy to do that, "Hey, look... I was wronged and I've moved past that! Go me!" Yes, that happened to me. But yesterday I only told you one side of a story, actually, I feel like forever I have only shared one side of a story. My life was a living hell growing up-- people tore me down until I had nothing left to give. BUT, the part of my story that hurts me the most now, is that I tore so many others down too. I hurt so many people. I want to give you the excuse that, "...because so many people hurt me, I just acted out of pain." But thats bullshit and thats not fair... because I don't have a single ounce of sympathy for the people who hurt me-- I don't want you to have sympathy for me. I made people cry, just like I cried. I went after people's most insecure places, just like people attacked mine. I went after the weak, just like others came after me. Broken people break people, its true. There are people out there who could write a post just like I wrote, directed straight at me. And more than any of the hurt I ever went through, that hurts me the most. Its the part of my story I wish I could keep out-- its the part I wish I could leave in the shadows. But that is NOT transparency. And I can't help anyone if I don't share it all. I hurt a lot of people in my time, a lot of tears were shed because of the things I said, and I can't take a single one of those things back... believe me, if I could, I would. But I can learn from it. I can promise to do better and to be better. I can apologize for the things I've done, because I believe there is no such thing as an expiration date on apologies-- and that is something I want to work on doing. And one day I can teach my own kids the importance of treating everyones heart with care, no matter how bad we (continued in comments)

I absolutely adore the stories Jett tells about her life as Mumma to two gorgeous little girls. Her stories are so immediately relatable and identifiable, I see so much of my own life & experience wrapped up within Jett's observations & photo captions. They always make me laugh & smile, and her images are just gorgeous...

Every image Meg captures is imbued with her special kind of magic. The way she uses light & the environment around her is nothing short of inspiring to a photographer such as myself. The little glimpses she shares of life with her 3 gorgeous boys in remote Michigan are absolutely magical and I could honestly look at her photos all day...

So there you have it, five of my most favourite Instagram accounts. I'd love to hear about your favourite accounts in the comments, if you please!
