Introducing Emily from 'Our IVF Journey' for International Blog Swap Day 2014
Today I have a very special guest on the blog. Her name is Emily, she's from the UK and she blogs at Our IVF Journey: All the fun of living life with twins. I have been partnered with Emily for International Blog Swap Day, a joint initiative from our own Digital Parents and Tots 100 in the UK. You can find me blogging over at Emily's place this afternoon. You can check out some of the other bloggers participating and discover some lovely UK blogs by visiting Tots 100 here.
I'm so excited to be taking part in the International Blog Swap Day thanks to TOTS100 and I'm really looking forward to reading some Australian blogs!
I'm Emily and I blog at 'Our IVF Journey: All the fun of living life with twins'.
I'm 27 years old and I live in Cardiff, UK with my husband, Nigel. We have twin girls who turned two years of age at the end of February.
As you may have guessed from the name of our blog we write about our IVF journey. In addition to this we also share personal stories from others who have been through IVF, adoption and fostering.
We also share our experiences of being a Mummy and Daddy to our beautiful twins.
Our blog is our little piece of the internet!
A place for us to get what's inside our minds out! Whether that be what we've been getting up to, some crafty activities or just rambling on about something that we're passionate about!
I started blogging back in June 2012 for a number of reasons. When my husband and I started our IVF journey I turned to the internet in a bid to read other peoples experiences.
Sadly, I couldn't find many personal stories, but there was lots of factual information around.
I wanted to be able to share our experiences of IVF with others in the hope that it might help others going down this route. I guess I started blogging as a kind of online diary. Recording the steps we took to get to where we are today.
I think it's a great way to look back in years to come and remember all that we went through.
Our twins were born six weeks early weighing 4lb3 and 2lb11. They spent 27 days in the special care unit. As such we've also written about our experiences of this. Again to help others in the same situation, but also so that our children can read about it when they're grown up.
As I mentioned above our twins are now two years old so I currently write about things such as potty training, activities to keep little ones entertained and topical things such as outdoor play, home educating and the occasional review.
I also host a weekly linky called the 'Binky Linky' which is for people who have been blogging less than a year. It's about finding new blogs to read and supporting new bloggers.
Bloggers are invited to link up their favourite post of the week and then take a look at some of the other blogs that have linked up. If you're a new blogger and would like to join in head over to my blog every Friday to Sunday to take part.

Thank you so much Emily for swapping blogs for the day with me. I look forward to reading more of your blog and I know everyone else will too.
Linking this up with Essentially Jess because it's Tuesday, and I always blog on Tuesdays!

Loved meeting you and hearing the reason behind your blog. Also love the idea of the linky for newbies. That's a very cool idea :)
Your little girls were so tiny when they were born, it must have felt pretty surreal to you and your partner.
