So This Happened on the Weekend...

Yep, I ate snails. And I liked em!

Finally got Punky to wear her cute little hat that I bought months ago for longer than a few minutes.

Linking up as always with this tremendous trio...

  4. Punky looks more like you every day. I ate snails in Paris. Tasted like rubbery balls of garlic to me #overrated

  5. Snails!! How brave are you! Glad they tasted good. All I can think about is the Pretty Woman movie "slippery little suckers" when the snail flies out of her hand! Cute hat on your little girl x

  7. Those snails look gorgeous... but in a 'on my sideboard display' kind of way, not in a 'GET IN MA BELLY, ESCARGOT' kind of way!

    Brave.

Disclaimer: not saying I'd NEVER try them. If I was in Paris I'd give them a go!

  8. A plate of mussels, yes. A plate of snails, no. Glad you enjoyed them. And Punky's hat ROCKS.

  12. Gross. Just couldn't do it. I have always thought I have quite sophisticated tastes but I cannot do snails or offal. Gross.

  13. You should definitely give them a go, they aren't as bad as they sound (or look!). Just don't chew them too much!

  14. I must admit, they were much better than I expected, I wouldn't say no if I had the chance to eat them again.

  15. Thanks Bec! It's so nice that she i starting to leave the things I put on her head there. I have so many cute clips that I can't wait to use.

  16. That was my first thought when they came out!

  17. It's definitely not as amazing as I expected, but also not as bad. I would love to eat them in Paris, that would be the ultimate!

  18. I was thinking about that too and trying so hard not to fling one across the table! They are not the easiest to get out of those shells.

  20. Bahahaha! It was a pretty little presentation that's for sure!

  21. The consistency was a little like mussels to be honest, you definitely didn't want to chew them too many times!

  22. They really just tasted like the garlic butter sauce they cooked them in, apart from that they didn't have much taste. Very chewy, I wouldn't recommend chewing them for too long!

  23. I've always wanted to try them and so when I saw them on the menu I thought why not, you only live once right!

  24. You so should, I'm glad I did it, its one more thing to tick off my list! The amazing duck main course certainly made it worth it too!

  25. Very french! I must admit I had to psych myself up a little when they first put the plate in front of me but I'm so glad I did it now.

  26. I am definitely not an offal fan, but for some reason I'd always wanted to try snails so when I saw them on the menu I thought "bugger it, I'm going for it" and was surprised they weren't anywhere near as bad as I expected! The sauce was nice!
