Baby Zee is not a Baby anymore! // Love

Last Wednesday my little Baby Zee turned 1! We didn't have a big party or anything, it wouldn't have felt right to have a party without Mum there, so we celebrated small instead. On the Wednesday night, Zee's actual birthday, we went to Mum's place and had dinner and a cake together. The following night we went up to Dave's parent's place and had dinner and delicious cupcakes. I think Zee had a good day, although I think the fact that it was her birthday was lost on her! Punky, however knew exactly what was going on and it was hard to keep her out of the present-opening! She was a good help with blowing out the candles though...

Do you/did you have big celebrations for your little one's first birthday?

Oh how sweet is that! Yes had big parties for No,1 & 2 but poor old No. 3 - NO - BUT to make it up for it next month he's having a cool 3rd birthday and is of an age where he'll really get in to - I can't wait to make him feel UBER special! x

She is a doll. We had a reasonable size celebration - how could we not after a year like that.

I think you totally deserved it! I think a first birthday celebration is more about celebrating the parent's survival of it than anything else!

Hahaha, poor third child! I think we will most likely have a big party for Zee's 2nd birthday to make up for not having one this year.

Hahahaha, that's gold! Dave has suggested doing that on more than one occasion. And Zee's favourite part about her birthday was playing with and eating the wrapping paper!
