In Sydney on Christmas Day last year it bucketed down. Poured all day. When we got home from visiting relatives Punky was enjoying playing with the water that was dripping from the gutters. Because it was Christmas Day, and because she loves water, and she'd never had the chance to before, I told Dave to take her over to the driveway to jump in muddy puddles. The look of pure joy on her face was the best present I received that day by far.
Linking up with this tremendous trio...

That looks like so much fun! Wishing it would rain now. My almost wordless Wednesday post is now up. :)
ReplyDeleteNawwww... the small joys. Kids can't go past water and getting soaked in it can they?? How awesome you're the type of Mum that says "let her jump in the puddles" ....
ReplyDeleteI have very similar photos of Miss 17 and her friends jumping in puddles and playing in the rain - taken only a year or two ago! LOL I guess we never outgrow our love of puddles :-)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't help but read your blog title in a peppa pig voice lol. Mud is so much fun! I remember doing this and making mud pies (and eating them).
ReplyDeleteOh rain , beautiful rain here today , thanks heavens for that. If we didn't have swimming lessons I'd be letting my mud magnets jump in the puddles too.
ReplyDeleteLove it!! Looks like there will be plenty of muddy puddles this afternoon!!
ReplyDeleteYay for the universe smiling on you! I had 3 things break on me last week so I am totally opening myself up for the good stuff now!
ReplyDeleteMuddy puddles are AWESOME! I'm so much more of a rainy day person than a summer one.
ReplyDeleteEvery puddle for Summer is a muddy one, just like on peppa pig. Good on you for letting her enjoy a good puddle jump :)
ReplyDeleteGreat news Kylez.
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had rain in ages BUT I've let my kids to do this - although I do wonder why afterwards as the mess drives me UP THE WALL. Cute video, bet the car driving past thought Dave was a cool dad!
ReplyDeleteShesh you don't do things by halves Ky - but SUPER DUPER excited about finding out you have more moolah for LnE - my younger sissy swears by it. Very cool about new course, you'll be a super star in no time. As for managing it all, and coming from someone who works 30hrs a week with 3 kids, it's no picnic, but you come to thrive on stress, run on auto pilot and learn NOT TO SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF. Then there's the Have A Laugh On Me life motto - "What's the worst that can happen?" You sound so motivated I love it. Go get 'em girl xxx
ReplyDeleteSo adorable! We needs some rain.
ReplyDeleteAm glad things have been working out for you lately! Certainly sounds like you have a lot going on!!
ReplyDeleteawesome update - your mom sounds so wonderful - sweet! and how funny to then find the money in your account as well. Sounds like 2014 is going to be a full on year of change and positive growth / updates for you - good luck and have fun with it
