The BBC Booklist - How Many Have You Read?

My friend tagged me in this note on facebook on Wednesday and I thought I'd share it here too. Feel free to copy and paste to your own blog (if you do add your blog to the linky at the bottom so I can check it out).

Have you read more than 6 of these books? The BBC believes most people will have read only 6 of the 100 books listed here.

41 Animal Farm - George Orwell (This was the Orwell book I wish I'd had to read for school. I read it when I was in year 12, not long after I read 1984, which I had to read for 3Unit English. I really liked Animal Farm, 1984 not so much!)

63 The Secret History - Donna Tartt (I just couldn't finish this for some reason. I got about three quarters of the way through, got side-tracked by something else and just never found the motivation to go back to it)

68 Bridget Jones’s Diary - Helen Fielding (My cousin bought me this for my birthday about 2 years before they made the movie and it was one of those books that I really enjoyed and was better than the movie. If you haven't read the second book but have seen the movie, then do yourself a favour and read the book, it's way better!)

98 Hamlet - William Shakespeare (had to read this in year 10 I think,very boring, the movie was ok though...what I saw of it before I fell asleep anyway!)
99 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - Roald Dahl (I love anything by Roald Dahl, although my favs would be The Twits and George's Marvellous Medicine...and also Esio Trot!)
