What Have I Been Reading Lately? 23.12.09

Well last week was a Harry Potter-fix week. I read the 6th and 7th books because it had been a while since I'd spent some time with Harry & Co.

This week I've read Margaret Atwood's The Year of the Flood and the latest Sookie Stackhouse novel, Dead and Gone. I finished Dead and Gone last night.

I really enjoyed The Year of the Flood. It was classic Atwood and it's made me want to read Oryx and Crake which is one of hers I haven't read but has some of the same characters. I'll post a review next week when things have settled down and I have a little more time.

I really enjoyed Dead and Gone. Probably the best Sookie novel I've read yet. I don't like the end though and questioning whether or not Bill still loves her. I don't like Bill, I think he's boring, and I don't want them to get back together.

Having said that, however, I do like Bill in the TV series. I bought the first season of True Blood on the weekend and Mr.P and I have been working our way through it. Happily Mr.P doesn't mind it, he thinks its pretty good. I like it too, especially Tara, there is just something about the way she talks that I love.

I don't know what I will start reading tonight. I have The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo that I borrowed, but I just haven't been in the mood to read it yet. Might start The Hunger Games, a new one I picked up on the weekend after seeing various reviews for it around the blogosphere, all good. I'll let you know how it goes.

So what have you been reading lately? Anything good?
