Fun in the Sun and Chocoland!

Last Saturday Mr.P and I spent a lovely afternoon at the Royal National Park, south of Sydney, for my friend H's birthday.

We got there around 2:30pm, just in time for lunch! Chicken, salad and rolls. Drinks and good company. What more could you want.We spent the afternoon basking in the beautiful weather, chatting and feeding the cockatoos, and the boys kicked the ball a bit and mostly looked after the two little ones.

I think the highlight for the little boys (and one big boy in particular, Mr.P) was feeding the cockatoos. These things were amazing, so tame, they just flew down and took the biscuits right out of our hands! And not just one but about 7 or 8 of them! So cool.

The other highlight of the day was Mrs.L's amazing cake, Chocoland! After the awesome 'Parkland' cake H made for Mrs.L's birthday the challenge was set and Mrs.L definitely rose to that challenge. She tells me that Mr.L actually designed the cake and she created it, with a checker-board pattern of chocolate and caramel cake and a scrumptious icing made from Milky-Ways (or Aldi's version anyway) and topped with Malteser boulders, caramel lake and chocolate-cone trees! It was beaut!
All in all it was a really great day and I only got two little spots of sunburn (I'm obviously out of practice in applying, it's been a few months!)
