I was doing a bit of blog browsing the other day when I came across this post from Eilleen over at Consumption Rebellion (if you haven't checked out her blog, I suggest you do, it's inspiring!)

So, anyway, Eilleen was talking about how she's been getting back into Macrame, you know that 70's naff craze? Well, I have it on good authority (a craft magazine editor) that macrame is coming back in a big way!

You may be sitting their smirking and shaking your head, like I was when I first heard that, but she is right.

And it's not so naff anymore!

Macrame jewelry is actually really nice, especially with the right materials (Eilleen made a gorgeous little bracelet) and the book above is great for first timers or those wanting to give it a go again.

The book has over 20 projects and explores 11 knotting techniques, from basic macrame knots to more intricate and ornamental styles. Each technique has clear photos so you can see how it's done, and step-by-step instructions, which are really quite easy to follow. Even for a novice like me!
