Best Book Lines

I read...a lot!

I have a lot of fav books, you can read about my Top 10 fav of All Time here

I like different books for different reasons, and what I read at any time depends a lot on my mood. Most often, if I've just finished reading something fairly deep or emotional I need to read a book that's light and easy next. That's when I fall back on old fav's like the Stephanie Plum series from Janet Evanovich, a James Patterson (they can be dark, but they are a quick, easy read), maybe Bridget Jones' Diary if it's been a few years.

After reading a lot of books, there are still certain quotes that stay with me, long after the first reading, from some of my fav books, and even some of my not so fav.

So, I thought I'd take this opportunity to share with you my ALL TIME Best Book Line.

'And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.'
-Dumbledore,
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, by J. K. Rowling

You're probably groaning, "How predictable, Harry Potter", but I just can't get past that as my fav. It just sums up the whole series, perfectly, and for me, reading in general. Every time I open up a book I feel as though I am stepping out to pursue that flighty temptress, adventure. Starting a new book is like setting out on a journey to a new land, a world of possibilities, where anything can happen, and does. Whether the story is great or not, every book, for me, is an adventure.

I'll try to share one of my Best Book Lines each week. If you love books as much as I do, I'd love to hear some of your Best Book Lines. Leave them in the comments, or do your own post and pop a link in the comments here so I can check 'em out!

There was one I loved in 'Mercy' by Jodi Picoult; that I just finished reading last week but cant remember it. :( Just tried looking too and couldn't find it.
Don't ya hate that. I am always trying to remember to keep my quote book (an A4 exercise book almost full of quotes that I love from everywhere and have collected over 10 years!) close-by when I'm reading but I never do!
